Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association Urges Enthusiasts and Industry to Comment on CPSC’s ROV Rulemaking

The Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association (ROHVA) is calling on enthusiasts and industry representatives to submit comments by March 15, 2010 in response to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) proposed mandatory standards for Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles (ROVs), also known as side-by-sides and UTVs.

Please click on the following link to comment on the CPSC’s proposed mandatory standards at ROHVA’s web page - www.rohva.org/anpr.

President's Budget Proposal Would Slash Trail Funding

The current federal budget proposal calls for a $100 million cut in the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Capital Improvement and Maintenance (CIM) program. The CIM program funds improvements, maintenance and the operation of U.S. Forest Service roads, trails and recreation infrastructure – all important assets for the OHV community nationwide.

We encourage you to contact your representatives in Congress, inform them of your opinion and urge them to reconsider this budget item in favor of the OHV community. You can find contact information for your elected officials at http://www.americanmotorcyclist.com/legisltn/rapidresponse.asp and enter in your zip code at Find Your Officials. Additionally, a prewritten e-mail is available for you to send to your federal elected official immediately by following the "Take Action" option and entering your information.
